Guizhou's big data industry top in China

According to a report on Guizhou's development as a national big data comprehensive pilot area in 2019, the province achieved 150 billion yuan ($22.09 billion) in big data revenue last year, with its big data development index ranked third nationally and its digital economy growth rate ranked first.

The report, compiled by Guizhou's information center, outlines Guizhou's achievements in economic growth, data opening and sharing, big data applications in governance, data center establishment and big data innovation.

In addition, the report also shows that Guizhou's employee increase rate related to the digital economy ranked first in China, and the provincial government data opening index and the online government service ability both ranked in the country's top three.

Guizhou's online government service system, which allows users to apply for items from different government departments via one platform, was recognized by the State Council.
