New Zealand embassy invited to attend 2021 Big Data Expo

Clinton Watson, Science and Innovation Counsellor at the Embassy of New Zealand in China, participated in the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2021 (Big Data Expo 2021) in Guiyang from May 26 to 28.

Clinton attended the opening ceremony and pavilion tour of Big Data Expo 2021, the High-level Dialogues on 5G-enabled Intelligent Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence, as well as forums including the Forum on Big Data Powering Healthy China, and visited the exhibition.

Clinton said it was his first visit to Guizhou, was impressed by its favorable ecological environment and marveled at its foresight for big data development. He noted that there is a solid foundation for the agricultural and educational cooperation between New Zealand and Guizhou, hoping to strengthen cooperation in more fields.

Guiyang and Palmerston North are sister cities that have laid a solid foundation for cooperation in agriculture, education and other fields. Guiyang Foreign Affairs Office will continue to strengthen contacts and coordination with the Embassy of New Zealand in China, consolidate the foundation for Guiyang-New Zealand practical cooperation in agriculture, education, tourism and big data, and explore common development in more fields.
