Tianhe tourist area receives national 3A designation
The Guangzhou bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism has recently classified the Liede Modern Urban Tourist Area in Tianhe district as a national 3A-level scenic spot.
Located in the heart of the Tianhe central business district, the tourism area stretches from the Family Li's Ancestral Hall in the east to Huacheng Avenue in the north, Huaxia Road in the west, and the Pearl River in the south, encompassing a total area of around 1 square kilometer.
The region presents a blend of ecological landscapes, urban landmarks, cultural institutions, entertainment centers, and premium commercial and recreational amenities alongside public services. Significant attractions include the Liede River, Huacheng Square, Guangdong Museum, Guangzhou Opera House, Guangzhou Library, and Guangzhou K11 Art Mall, among various other facilities.
In 2023, the tourist area welcomed over 20 million domestic and international visitors, making it the most visited tourist destination in the district.
