3 AI centers open in Tianhe
Three artificial intelligence centers were launched on Nov 21 in Tianhe district of Guangzhou – the capital of South China's Guangdong province.
Their debut occurred at the 2024 Guangzhou Artificial Intelligence Big Model Technology and the Tianhe AI Achievements Release Event.
The General AI and Industrial Integration Innovation Center – affiliated with the Guangdong Branch of the China Academy of Industrial Internet – is scheduled to foster innovation at the intersection of general AI and specific industrial sectors.
The center will focus on developing suitable technical architecture and establishing comprehensive technical standards and testing systems.
Furthermore, it will create exemplary integration application models, nurture effective "AI +" platforms, and support digital transformations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The Asia-Pacific Info Engine Core Hub of the Tianhe Intelligent Computing Center, leveraging China Telecom's Yunxiao and Xirang computing platforms, will aim to meet high-complexity and high-computation-demand tasks.
The Tianhe AI Big Model Proof-of-Concept Center – built upon the existing AI Joint Innovation Laboratory – will utilize China Telecom's independently developed Xingchen big model and Xinghai AI platform.
It'll further support scientific research achievements by providing experimental facilities, funding, and talent teams.
