Tianhe ranks 3rd nationwide for competitiveness

The Competitiveness Think Tank and the Beijing Zhongxin Urban Planning and Design Institute unveiled the "2024 Top 100 Districts of Comprehensive Competitiveness in China" list in Beijing recently – with Tianhe district of South China's Guangzhou city securing a spot in the top three.

Tianhe has been harnessing its rich resources in talent, technology, industry and capital in order to pave the way for more business enterprise innovation.

This strategic focus has propelled the district to become Guangzhou's premier economic powerhouse, a hub of innovation and the city's vibrant center.

In 2023, the district's GDP soared to an impressive 655.13 billion yuan ($91.24 billion), placing it among the top six districts nationwide.

Remarkably, in October this year the total number of businesses enterprises in Tianhe surpassed the 600,000 level. Since the beginning of the year, the district has welcomed 84,675 new enterprises, leading the city in both total numbers and in terms of the growth rate.
