The park is where traditional and modern culture integrate. The park features ancient pavilions and gardens that tell the history of Lingnan, but also has literary and art spaces that are contemporary. In 2006, the nation's first readers' park was built here, setting up newspaper reading boards. While in 2019, the Tianhe Art Gallery opened to provide a public art space for visitors.
