The on-site activities of the 133rd China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) concluded on Friday in the southern city of Guangzhou, after seeing brisk business and record foot traffic, according to one of the fair's organizers.
A China-Europe freight train loaded with high-quality goods, including food, household appliances and electronic accessories, departed from a logistics park in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, on Tuesday.
More export-oriented companies will participate in the upcoming China Import and Export Fair, better known as the Canton Fair, demonstrating confidence in expanding overseas deals in the months ahead, according to a spokesman for the fair's organizers.
Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, is striving to build a center of wealth and asset management that features a close linkage with international markets, an official said on Friday.
The Guangzhou resident found an echo in the tweet of Danny Haiphong, an activist and writer who posted two photos of the NYU subway and Guangdong subway on Tuesday and tweeted that "Train station in Guangzhou, China versus train station in New York City, USA."
