COVID-19 vaccination will temporarily target people in key groups and areas in Guangzhou, the capital of South China's Guangdong province, amid recent reports of an increased number of cases in the city, according to a local official.
Passengers leaving Guangzhou via airports, railways, and coach stations within Guangzhou (excluding transit passengers) must present their green Health Code and a COVID-19 test certificate with a negative result issued within the past 72 hours.
For the purpose of blocking the spread of the virus and protect the health and safety of the general public, further investigations will be carried out on residents in relevant areas.
