An announcement regarding Guangzhou visitors to Macao was made by Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) authorities at 2:42 pm on Sept 5 in response to the evolving COVID-19 situation.
Starting from Augt 27, people traveling or returning to Guangdong province from domestic low-risk COVID-19 areas will no longer need to take nucleic acid tests, according to the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Guangzhou has canceled on-site nucleic acid testing on Aug 27 for people arriving at six railway stations.
Guangzhou's singing and dancing entertainment venues (KTVs), which include KTV parlors, mini singing booths, internet service venues, chess and card rooms, mahjong halls, and other public venues are now allowed to open.
The Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province issued a notice on Aug 24 on the matter of inter-provincial tourism.
On Aug 24, Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention updated health management measures for domestic travelers returning or traveling to Guangdong. Quarantine is still required for people from certain places of seven domestic provinces.
