Baiyun's cosmetics industry poised to surpass 40b yuan
The cosmetics industry in Guangzhou's Baiyun district is experiencing a chain-style breakthrough, with its projected output value set to exceed 40 billion yuan ($5.66 billion) in 2025, advancing toward a hundred-billion-yuan-level industrial cluster.
The industry has adopted an effective "North Production, South Trade" spatial arrangement. Advanced manufacturing bases in northern towns like Jianggao and Zhongluotan are home to well-known brands such as Carslan and Danzi. Meanwhile, southern areas, including Sanyuanli and Huangshi, host more than 6,000 trading enterprises, creating a global sales network.

Innovation in research and development is central to the industry's improvement. The district government established the Baiyun Beauty Bay International Cosmetics Research Institute Cluster, comprising 11 top-tier research teams. This cluster has developed a total of 33 raw materials and over 10,000 formulations, supporting nearly 400 enterprises and effectively translating research findings into market-ready products.
Furthermore, the government actively facilitates the collective international expansion of enterprises and supports their entry into global markets through digital product selection centers. By leveraging comprehensive industry-chain coordination, research and development-led innovation, and a clear globalization strategy, Baiyun's cosmetics industry is accelerating its high-quality transformation from "manufacturing" to "brand creation".
