The Baiyun district people's government and Guangzhou Medical University held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation framework agreement on Dec 12.

This partnership aims to integrate resources and expertise to advance medical and health services, promote the commercialization of scientific research achievements, drive the development of the health industry, and nurture technical talent. Both parties are dedicated to spearheading the innovative growth of Baiyun's healthcare and biomedical sectors.

A notable highlight of the ceremony was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the health bureau of Baiyun district and the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. This cooperation will see the joint management of the Guangzhou Baiyun District Maternal and Child Health Hospital, with the goal of enhancing medical service quality and strengthening the local healthcare system.

Guangzhou Medical University, established in 1958, is a national "Double First-Class" university with campuses in Panyu and Yuexiu. The university boasts a high-caliber faculty, including recipients of the "Medal of the Republic". It manages 15 affiliated hospitals, including two national top 100 hospitals and four high-level hospitals in Guangdong province.
