Progress has been made on the highly anticipated Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Railway South Extension Line, with three new stations completed. The line will link the city centers of Guangzhou and Qingyuan within an hour.

A 540-metric-ton steel box girder bridge was recently placed 50 meters above the Liuxi river, marking the completion of the closure of Liuxi River Grand Bridge, a major component of the extension line. This achievement is a positive sign that the Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Railway South Extension Line will begin operating according to schedule.
