Phase I of Huawei's Guangzhou R&D center nears completion
Huawei Guangzhou Research and Development Center Phase I is set to be delivered soon, marking a significant milestone in the development of Baiyun district.
Located in the Songzhou Street area, the project is nearing the end of its construction and interior decoration phases.
Since the project's inception, Baiyun has extensively upgraded the surrounding infrastructure, including roads, transportation, and public services. These improvements have enhanced the area's technological capabilities, innovation potential, and industrial concentration, breathing new life into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Baiyun has planned to optimize the local environment, transportation, and facilities, improving traffic flow and alleviating congestion around Huawei Guangzhou Research and Development Center. Baiyun enhances green spaces and beautification projects, creating outdoor leisure areas and a comprehensive children's experience center.
The Baiyun investment promotion bureau highlights the strategic partnership with Huawei over the past seven years, which has attracted leading enterprises like Chinasoft International and iSoftStone to the area. As of the first half of 2024, Baiyun boasts 592,600 active business entities, a 9.06 percent year-on-year increase, ranking second in Guangzhou city.
