The Jingxi Guangzhi area in Baiyun district will soon be transformed into a Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area smart healthcare and life health demonstration zone with an area spanning 7.34 hectares. The estimated renovation cost is 1.6 billion yuan ($220.85 million).

This area is located on the south side of the life health development axis in eastern Baiyun, including Jingxi village and Yuangang Road.

Before the renovation work began, the area was primarily dominated by low-end industries with low land use efficiency, requiring improvements in various areas.

Guangzhou municipal planning and natural resources bureau (Baiyun district bureau) has collaborated with local townships and streets on this project, achieving a high approval rate of 92.8 percent through preliminary work like soliciting renovation intentions.

The area will focus on developing industries such as smart healthcare services, applications, and technologies, leveraging technological innovation to empower medical services. With resources from institutions like Southern Medical University, the area will be transformed into a demonstration zone. Once it is ready, it will see an increase of over 80,000 square meters in terms of high-quality industrial carriers, leading to more economic growth.

With a planned total construction area of around 204,100 square meters and a 44:56 ratio of production to residential areas, the full optimization of transportation, space, and public services will inject new vitality into the area. Detailed transportation designs will ensure convenient and efficient travel, while urban designs will create comfortable living environments and improve public service facilities to address any deficiencies.

In the future, the Jingxi Guangzhi area will unveil a brand new image to residents.
