On May 18, the Guangzhou Zhengjia Maofeng Bay Tourism and Cultural Resort project was signed during the Baiyun Cultural Tourism Industry Exchange and Promotion Event.

Located in Suifeng village, Taihe town, at the foot of Maofeng Mountain, this project covers an area of approximately 600 mu (40 hectares) with a building area exceeding 200,000 square meters and a total investment of around 2.5 billion yuan ($345 million). The cultural tourism project aims to establish a national 5A-level tourist attraction and a world-class cultural tourism destination.

Maofeng Mountain scenic area is recognized as a national ecological civilization education base, a national 3A-level tourist attraction, and a provincial forest park, making it an ideal destination for individuals seeking vacation and relaxation.

The project leader highlighted that the project is situated in Suifeng village at the base of Maofeng Mountain due to the area's possession of the unique natural resources of Maofeng Mountain and its embodiment of red culture and Hakka culture.

In the future, the project will concentrate on six main areas: comprehending China, inheriting revolutionary heritage, experiencing Hakka culture, promoting technological innovation, enjoying green mountains and clear waters, and engaging in recreational pursuits. It aims to achieve a deep integration of cultural tourism and comprehensive alignment with commerce, technology, education, agriculture, and healthcare.
