Baiyun district will host the Dragon Boat Season from May 15 to June 16, with dragon boat races as the main attraction and dragon boat culture as the foundation, blending traditional culture, traditional sports, and popular tourist activities to create a charming cultural and tourism competition that combines tradition and modernity.

Baiyun International Dragon Boat Open Tournament is going to take place on June 11, at the east part of Baiyun Lake, with participants including teams from Baiyun and across Guangdong province and, for the first time, international teams. The competition is set to feature a 500-meter straight-line sprint race, with village teams, open teams, international teams, and women's teams competing.

In addition to the dragon boat races, various towns such as Renhe, Junhe, Jinsha, Baiyun Lake, Shimen, and Songzhou are about to host a variety of colorful activities. These include dragon boat family reunions, dragon boat races, and other traditional activities, bringing joy and excitement to residents and tourists.

Baiyun is expected to also organize the Baiyun Lake Intangible Cultural Heritage Dragon Boat Carnival and the specialty feast, offering Cantonese delicacies, music shows, live performances, and other exciting programs.
