Significant progress in Baiyun airport T3 Project
The Terminal Three Project at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport has recently progressed, with the comprehensive connection of the north-south central line of the main terminal building.
Located on the southeast side of Baiyun airport, the project adopts a centralized main building and finger-shaped configuration. Its total construction area exceeds 680,000 square meters.
The project commenced in March 2023, and the steel grid frame process is expected to be fully completed by the end of March this year. The entire secondary structure is poised to be completed by May this year.
The project is scheduled for completion and acceptance around July 2025, with an anticipated readiness for operation by the end of December 2025. Once T3 is operational, Baiyun airport's annual passenger throughput is expected to reach 120 million, and its cargo throughput is expected to reach 3.8 million metric tons, placing it in a leading position in global passenger and cargo throughput.
Baiyun airport is one of China's three major international air hubs, with a world-class airport and airline operation team covering 219 global destinations. Meanwhile, the third-phase expansion project of Baiyun airport is accelerating its construction. It is planned to be completed and put into operation by 2025, becoming the world's largest single-terminal airport.
