The first Guangzhou Cosmetics Week, which opened on Nov 1 at the Guangzhou Baiyun International Conference Center highlighted the great things that are going on locally in the sector.

Baiyun district is the biggest cosmetics industry hub in the country and has the most complete cosmetics industry chain in China.

Location advantage

Since the 1990s, the district's cosmetics industry has been divided between production in the north and trade in the south.

Relying on the location advantage of being adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, and boasting Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Guangzhou Railway Station, Baiyun has attracted wholesale beauty markets, like the one operating in Xingfa Square.
