Baiyun district in Guangzhou leads China's cosmetics industry

Overall, the cosmetics sector is one of the pillar industries in Baiyun. To date, Baiyun Beauty Bay has attracted 15 colleges, universities and research institutions and has developed dozens of patented optimizations for raw materials and designed over 1,000 cosmetics formulas.
Recently, Michael Levitt, winner of the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry and a professor of structural biology at Stanford University in the United States, was appointed chief scientist of the Baiyun Beauty Bay International Cosmetics Research Institute Cluster, to inject technological strength into the development of Baiyun's cosmetics industry.
