Baiyun held a trade promotion conference for the district's high-quality development at the Guangzhou Private Science and Technology Park on June 28. This was the first high-level and large-scale investment promotion event organized by the district's supply and marketing cooperative.

Nearly 180 units, companies and chambers of commerce attended the event. They signed agreements to launch six key projects in the district with a total investment of nearly 1.8 billion yuan ($248 million), including the Banhu Vegetable Industrial Park and the Baiyun Supply and Marketing Comprehensive Service Building.

The projects cover various fields such as agriculture, renewable resources and asset and property management operations.

The Banhu Vegetable Industrial Park is expected to utilize advanced agricultural technology to build a green vegetable planting area. It will give full play to the role of key enterprises in agriculture, achieve the integrated development of the primary industry and help to accelerate the district's rural revitalization.

The Baiyun Supply and Marketing Comprehensive Service Building aims to be a multifunctional complex that integrates headquarters offices, residential quarters, leisure and consumer expenditure.

It will seek to provide comprehensive services for agricultural production, industry services, business operations and commercial needs in a one-stop fashion.
