Baiyun New City, with a planning area of 43 square kilometers, which includes 9-square kilometer core area, is situated 23 km from Guangzhou North Railway Station, 2.7 km from Baiyun Railway Station, 21 km from Guangzhou South Railway Station, 6.3 km from Guangzhou East Railway Station, 24 km from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and 3.5 km from Guangzhou Railway Station.

The area aims to build itself into an international exchange center, an urban hub, a headquarters for economic agglomeration and a livable zone at the foot of Baiyun Mountain.

The area has attracted major enterprises including China Southern Air Holding Company, China National Aviation Fuel Group Limited, China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd., Guangdong Land Holdings Limited, Guangdong Airport Authority and Guangzhou Metro Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd.

Many key projects and public facilities have been built in Baiyun New City, including the Guangzhou Baiyun Greenland Center, Guangzhou Baiyun Wanda Plaza, Yunjinghui Building, China Southern Airlines Building, Guangzhou Gymnasium, Guangzhou Children’s Park and the Guangzhou Baiyun International Convention Center.

The southern part of Baiyun New City is also emerging with the Country Garden project, Jianhua building materials headquarters project and the CNAF South China headquarters currently under construction.

Baiyun New City will comprise headquarters in such sectors as aviation, biomedicine, convention and exhibition, financial leasing and cross-border e-commerce to build a landmark high-end business district in Guangzhou.
