China's new railway schedule began operating at midnight on June 15.
According to the schedule, bullet trains will run along the Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour, significantly slashing travel time from the
Guangzhou South Railway Station to key cities like Beijing, Wuhan, Hubei province and Changsha, Hunan province.
The shortest travel time from Guangzhou to Beijing and Wuhan will be seven hours and 16 minutes and three hours and 17 minutes, respectively, 22 minutes and 23 minutes
faster than before. Additionally, the journey from Guangzhou to Changsha will be shortened to one hour and 59 minutes, a decrease of 19 minutes.
According to Wen Min, the duty station manager at Guangzhou South Railway Station, emphasizing passenger preferences, the station has introduced services to sought-after locations like Zhanjiang, Changsha, and Qingdao.
Following the schedule adjustment, the Wuhan-Guangzhou section of the Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway will shift from a fixed fare to a flexible market-driven pricing model incorporating discounts. Ticket prices will be capped at publicly disclosed rates on the railway's official platform and station notifications.
