Recently, the Guangzhou municipal commerce bureau announced the list of 15 areas selected as pilot zones for the metropolitan night markets, aiming to promote the flourishing development of the nighttime economy.

These areas include the Beijing Road-Haizhu Square business district, Tianhe Road business district, Huanshi East business district, and the Canton Tower-Pearl River Beer Wharf food gathering area. These areas all feature a rich variety of nighttime consumer formats, leading nighttime business operations and hosting nighttime consumer activities.

The designated pilot zones will enjoy inclusive and prudent regulatory policies, provide efficient and centralized service guarantees, and attract integrated market resources, injecting new impetus into Guangzhou's night market economy.

Furthermore, Guangdong province has implemented additional measures to promote the development of its nighttime economy. For instance, the Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau is actively spearheading the establishment of the Guangzhou Night Economy Development Association. This strategic move aims to consolidate resources from diverse sectors, including financial institutions, commercial entities, trading companies, platform-based enterprises, and media outlets. By fostering collaboration among these market entities, these cooperations are expected to catalyze outcomes such as cross-industry integration, format enhancement, and the cultivation of a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere.
