On April 21, Guangzhou hosted the Guangzhou-Lyon 35th Anniversary Friendship Exchange Meeting to further strengthen the diplomatic relationship between China and France. 

This event commemorated the 35th anniversary of the international friendship between the cities of Guangzhou and Lyon. Additionally, it aimed to deepen cooperation between the two cities in various fields.

Representatives from both cities had fruitful discussions regarding more potential cooperation opportunities in areas such as economy and trade, education and culture, urban construction, carbon reduction, and environmental protection. The meeting also highlighted the history of friendly exchanges between Guangzhou and Lyon.

Overall, the Guangzhou-Lyon 35th Anniversary Friendship Exchange Meeting was a significant step towards enhancing the longstanding friendship and collaboration between these two cities.
