As an important activity under the framework of the 2023 UCLG ASPAC Executive Bureau Meeting, the meeting of the Women's Committee was successfully held in Kathmandu, Nepal on the morning of April 12. More than 40 city representatives from China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and other countries attended the event.

Zhang Yajie, co-chairman of UCLG Asia Pacific, delivered a video speech during the meeting and said that since Guangzhou became the chair city of the Women's Committee in 2019, it has worked with the UCLG Asia Pacific secretariat to incorporate international pilot projects related to women's and children's medical care into the cooperation framework, with the Women's Commission and the Guangzhou Award as the main channels.

Guangzhou has also promoted cooperation with UCLG Asia Pacific member cities for exchanges and cooperation related to medical care for women and children, and helps local governments implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, according to Zhang.
