A seminar was held in Guangzhou on April 1, to promote youth participation in the Belt and Road Initiative and encourage young people to practice the global governance concept of "co-construction, co-governance, and sharing" through practical actions.

Approximately 50 young representatives from the regions including the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Thailand, and Vietnam, participated in the event, which launched four sustainable tourism models: "sustainable animal conservation," "sustainable marine protection," "sustainable ecological aesthetic design," and "sustainable ecological agriculture experience."

In his speech, Zhang Shilong, the secretary-general of the Guangzhou Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation, hoped that young people would exert their influential power during the event, and looked forward to seeing the results of the seminar.

Li Jiabao, the initiator of the event and a member of the Guangzhou Community of the Global Shapers Community, expressed that the results of this seminar will soon be field-tested and optimized in conjunction with local institutions.

The event aimed to promote sustainable travel to participating Belt and Road Initiative member regions. The event also invited professionals to give scientific knowledge and share their experiences. Additionally, participants and representatives from various parties also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions at the event.
