The Pazhou Ferry Terminal is near the China Import and Export Fair Complex and Pazhou station on Metro line 8. The terminal will be built in two phases, and is designed to have three floors. The first floor of the building will be for check-in and security, the second floor for exiting, and the third floor for entry.
The terminal provides high-speed carbon fiber passenger catamarans with 260 passenger seats, including 60 first class seats and 200 normal class seats. There is also a duty-free center on the catamaran.

"Passengers who fly out of Hong Kong International Airport can check in for their flights and hand over their checked-in baggage at Pazhou. Passengers can also collect the HK $120 departure tax that was included in the ticket at the Hong Kong Haitian Wharf," said Wang Jun, deputy general manager of the Pazhou Ferry Terminal.
Wang introduced that after the terminal is put into use, passengers do not need to go through immigration formalities at Hong Kong International Airport. This will save travel time and travel costs.
In the future, the port plans to open an inter-city water passenger route between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and open more routes between Pazhou and Macao International Airport.
