The Haizhu government and 11 enterprises, including the Canton Tower Cultural Tourism Development Group, signed a cooperation framework agreement on Dec 22 to develop Canton Tower-Pazhou into a world-class business circle. 

According to the agreement, the Canton Tower-Pazhou business sector will be upgraded to accommodate gastronomic tourism, fashion, and entertainment, as well as international exhibitions. This will create an integrated business district in which culture, commerce, and tourism promote each other.

The Canton Tower South Plaza project is positioned to be the most cutting-edge commercial complex in Haizhu district once completed. It will gather flagship stores, concept stores, theaters, and other consumption venues.

It is expected that by 2025, 87 key commercial carrier projects will be completed in Haizhu district. Canton Tower South Plaza is expected to pass inspection in 2023 and open in the first quarter of 2024. It will add about 57,000 square meters of commercial area to the Canton Tower business sector after completion.
