In 2018, Phei Er Saw from Malaysia was introduced to Guangzhou as a high-end medical talent.

She serves as a researcher and doctoral supervisor of the Center for Basic and Translational Medicine at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, mainly engaged in nanomedicine research.

In recent years, the high-quality integrated development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has brought many benefits in terms of preferential policies for medical researchers like Phei Er Saw.

"In the field of medical scientific research, we have received sufficient financial support and have been able to deeply integrate with local laboratories and experts in various fields to carry out scientific research cooperation, which is a very rare opportunity," she said.

Having lived in Guangzhou for four years, Phei Er Saw has witnessed its recent development first-hand and considers it a friendly, open, and inclusive city.
