The extension project of the Guangzhou Port Nansha Grain and General Cargo Terminal has started construction of its hydraulic structure on May 28, marking that the construction of its main structure has entered its next phase.
The extension project is expected to build two 100,000-metric-ton common berths and a 40,000-ton break bulk berth.
After construction, the terminal will become a large-scale deep water port terminal, possessing nine berths for grain and general cargo, 10 feeder berths, as well as a coast line of around 3.6 kilometers.
It will be the largest logistics base for grain, steel, and complete sets of equipment, as well as the largest transfer and distribution base for wood and pulp in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
