A document on promoting steady growth in foreign trade in Guangzhou has been released on April 17 that takes into account the current economic situation caused by the outbreak of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The document has launched a total of 23 detailed measures in seven areas spanning expanding diversified international markets, offering subsidies for participating in overseas exhibitions, as well as promoting the orderly export of COVID-19 epidemic prevention materials and consumer goods.

The development level of Guangzhou's cross-border e-commerce will be elevated in an all-around way and a set of mechanisms catering to the current development situation of the city's cross-border e-commerce will be formed.

Efforts will be made in improving the service level of fiscal services for foreign trade, allowing foreign trade companies to declare for tax reimbursement more than once a month.

The efficiency of clearance will be accelerated and the clearance cost will be lowered. The city will also actively expand its import scale and establish an innovative platform boosting export commerce.

Guangzhou will devote efforts in supporting Nansha district in becoming a national innovative demonstrative zone in boosting import trade.
