The 3rd Guangzhou Teenager Football Competition with Sister Cities kicked off on Oct 29 in Guangzhou, gathering more than 80 teenagers from Frankfurt, Germany, Gwangju, South Korea, Tel Aviv, Israel, and Guangzhou.

Lasting for six days, the event is composed of two parts: football competitions and cultural communications. The event is expected to become a bridge for cooperation and communication for teenagers from sister cities, as well as promote the integrated development of Guangzhou's campus football.

The football competition will be held from Oct 29 to 31 in the form of a round robin.

In addition, the teenage participants will embark on a tour in Guangzhou to get a close look at the charm of Lingnan traditional culture. The Lingnan area loosely refers to Guangdong and Hainan provinces, as well as Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Guangzhou has gained great momentum in developing campus football and has been selected as a pilot area of national teenager campus football reform.
