Global AI summit to open in Nansha

The AI and I Guangzhou International Summit 2019, which has a theme of "AI and All," will be held in Guangzhou's Nansha district from Oct 23 to 24.

As one of the most anticipated global AI events held in China this year, the summit will include a high-level conference, five parallel forums, and three concurrent activities, discussing pressing issues from the basic layer, technical layer, and the application layer of AI technology.

A number of the latest AI technologies, such as virtual hosts and autonomous driving, will be showcased during the summit.

Outstanding scientists and industrial pioneers in AI from countries such as China, the United States, and Germany will participate in the summit, including Tian Suning, chairman of AsiaInfo Technologies, Pascal Fua, fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and Gao Wen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. 

A total of nine lectures will be given during the conference on Oct 24. Other activities, such as launches of products and technologies, signings of major projects and strategic cooperation agreements, as well as exhibitions of exemplary AI projects, will also be held during this year's summit.

Nansha district is home to more than 170 AI companies managing, and has been exploring mechanisms for data fusion and security governance in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, turning it into a pilot area for international data collaboration in the Greater Bay Area.
