A story telling event between Italy and China was held on Sept 4 in Milan, Italy, further promoting Guangzhou on the global stage.

The event, co-organized by the Information Office of the People's Government of Guangdong province and the Radio and Television Administration of Guangdong province, had also gained support from local companies and organizations like Guangzhou Automobile Group Co Ltd (GAC) and Pearl River Piano.

"China and Italy have established long-standing friendship thanks to the ancient Silk Road. I believe the sharing of our friendly exchange stories will boost bilateral cooperation and friendship," said Bai Jie, director of the Radio and Television Administration of Guangdong Province.

Zhu Xiaoyi, director of the Guangzhou publicity department, launched the tour schedule of the original Chinese opera Marco Polo in Italian cities like Milan and Genoa.

"I never thought I would work in China before. Since I joined GAC, I've worked there for more than 10 years. I really like people in Guangzhou and Guangdong province, who have dreams and power," said Marco Mario Gilardi, CTO of GAC Research and Development Center, who joined GAC in November 2009.
