Guangdong Overseas Chinese High School has opened Guangzhou's first public class for students from Hong Kong and Macao starting from this September, enrolling a total of 12 students.

As an implementation of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Guangdong Overseas Chinese High School was set up as a demonstration school by Guangzhou's education bureau to offer diversified public services for basic high quality education.

Students with a residence permit for Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan, along with overseas Chinese students are eligible to be enrolled in the class.

In addition to courses meeting the requirements of Ministry of Education, distinctive courses such as STEAM and traditional Chinese culture are also available.

Teachers with rich experiences have been chosen as the head teachers of the class and those who can speak Cantonese are selected to be tutors to pay close attention to students' lives and their studies.
