The Asian Cuisine Festival Guangzhou, a significant component of the Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations, wrapped up on May 23. Nearly nine million visitors from across the world had gathered in the Guangdong capital to experience Asian food cultures and savor the delicacies during the seven day festival.
The closing ceremony was held at Guangzhou International Media Harbor. In addition to inviting foodies from across Asia to share their food-themed videos, the ceremony also released the "My Favorite Asian Cuisine" list that lays out representative restaurants, renowned chefs, famous cuisines, and landmark foods in Asian countries.
The list was made based on online voting and evaluation from food experts in the culinary industry of Asian countries.
