Indonesia marked its guest country day at the Asian Cuisine Festival Guangzhou on May 20, displaying a variety of tasty local food and inviting one of its best-known chefs Chandra Gunawan to make distinctive Indonesian cuisine for visitors.

Three Indonesian restaurants in Guangzhou were invited to the special day and Chandra Gunawan, who once served Indonesian President Joko Widodo, demonstrated the cooking techniques of his personal specialties of fried chicken with coconut and traditional Indonesian salad. The two dishes were wolfed down by the foodies and received wide acclaim from guests.
