The 2019 International Vertical Marathon held a press conference in Guangzhou on April 23 and released its 16 upcoming events that will take place in 12 cities across China. 

The serial events will kick off in Shenzhen in May and then will be held in other Chinese cities like Guangzhou, Wuhan, Foshan, Tianjin, and Beijing from June to December. Runners from all over the world will strive to cross the finish line of the vertical marathons by climbing the stairs of skyscrapers during these events.

In addition, the mascot for these events, Wowo, was unveiled at the press conference for the first time and interacted with the audience.

The 2019 International Vertical Marathon will also display remarkable efforts in public welfare as the organizing committee announced its plan to team up with a used clothing recycling company to raise public awareness on environmental protection and low carbon.
