With the theme of "Vision Unlimited", Guangzhou-based GAC Motor, a subsidiary of GAC Group, is impressing the world with its products at the 2019 North American International Auto Show held from Monday to Jan 27 at the Cobo Center in Detroit.

"We are honored and excited to be able to add to the long history of innovation in this great city with the unveiling of our latest concept vehicle, which showcases our commitment of bringing US customers world-class products and services," said Yu Jun, president of GAC Motor, during the news conference that kicked of the first day of the show.

The conference included VIPs such as Zou Xiaoming, commercial counsellor of the Consulate-General of China in Chicago; Sun Xiaojie, deputy economic and commercial consul of the Consulate-General of China in Chicago; Rod Alberts, executive director of NAIAS; Wes Lutz, chairman of the National Automobile Dealers Association; Zhang Qingsong, member of the executive committee of GAC Group; Yu Jun, president of GAC Motor; Wang Qiujing, president of GAC Research and Development Center; and Pontus Fontaeus, executive design director of GAC Advanced Design Center Los Angeles.

The show featured the global premiere of GAC Motor's new concept car ENTRANZE and the North American debut of its latest GM6 minivan and the new GS5 SUV.

ENTRANZE, developed by the company's advanced design center, is a family vehicle equipped with the latest technology in intelligent systems and new energy.

Upholding the "people-oriented" principle, the concept car combines a seven-seat configuration with ergonomic design to make driving easier and more pleasurable, according to GAC Motor.

With most of the car made of environmentally sustainable materials, the interior of ENTRANZE is influenced by home decor. A 3+2+2 seat layout aims create a comfortable space for users.

The wave-inspired curved screens and airplane-cabin-like overhead console gives a spacious feeling. The company is showcasing several other elite models, including the luxury SUV GS8, seven-seat GM8 and new energy car GE3 530.

2018 was significant for the development of GAC Motor. The company marked several milestones internationally, including its debuts in Europe, the Moscow International Automobile Salon and the Paris Motor Show. So far, it has established an international sales and service network that covers 16 countries.

As for supply chain management, GAC Motor has signed partnerships with 18 of the world's top auto suppliers covering core components and smart technologies, enabling its global supply chain to adhere to the industry's highest standards.

In addition, in order to build a global sales system and accelerate the pace of entering mature markets, the GAC Motor North America Sales Company will become operational soon.

On Jan 24, GAC Motor will attend NADA for the second time to lay foundations for future sales in North America.
