Nansha district, Guangzhou is making great progress in improving government services for residents, as it recently announced that it would begin offering 107 types of government services at all district administrative stations.

Residents can now simply submit materials at the nearest government department without having to shuttle between multiple different locations.

The 107 items cover four areas of service: human resources, social security, public security and market supervision services. This makes it easier for residents to deal with services such as household identity registration, benefits for senior citizens, social security card replacement, employment registration and pension application.

The move is aimed at optimizing cooperation between government departments and eases restrictions on household registration and residence limits. Through the use of internet technology and data sharing, the time and energy required of residents in need of government services is greatly reduced.

It will also strive to build a digital government and strengthen online government service reform in order to offer greater convenience to residents and enterprises.
