On Dec 25, the Guangzhou Opera House staged a grand show with a series of well-arranged dances and other programs to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Guangzhou Ballet.
During the show, the Guangzhou Ballet demonstrated its prowess with an impressive lineup of performances including the dance dramas Xuanfeng, Mei Lanfang and A Dream of Red Mansions. The dances were all a part of the troupe's original repertoire and have received wide acclaim from audiences over the years.

The Guangzhou Ballet was formed in 1993 and the troupe has now become one of the most respected art troupes in China. Over the years, it has consistently developed relationships with overseas troupes and invited professionals and renowned ballet dancers from France, the United States, Italy, Canada, Russia, Australia and other countries to come advise and teach in Guangzhou, helping to develop the troupe into a team of world-class ballet dancers.
The troupe is also dedicated to promoting Chinese ballet around the world.
