Guangzhou library helps promote intangible cultural heritages

Guangzhou Children's Library held a special session on Oct 16 to brief visitors on the library's efforts at promoting intangible cultural heritages over the past five years.

According to Wu Cuihong, deputy curator of the library, a total of 191 activities have been organized to promote 36 cultural heritages including Guangxiu embroidery, paper-cutting, Cantonese Opera, olive kernel carving, Guangcai ceramics and the lion dance. It also held over 30 special exhibitions on intangible cultural heritages, which have attracted more than 12 million visitors.
