Dorabot Inc. and Nansha Development District Management Committee signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on Aug 16 to establish the company's national headquarters and R&D and operations center in Nansha.

Dorabot is a market-leading robotics company deploying artificial intelligence and robotics in the logistics sector. It develops autonomous robotic loading, sorting, and induction solutions for global logistics and e-commerce partners using computer vision, multi-robot collaboration, autonomous navigation, and deep reinforcement learning.

According to the agreement, the company, with Nansha as its headquarters, will introduce top talents in the high-tech sector from home and abroad to seek software and hardware solutions for intelligent logistics and storage. It will also fully explore its self-developed AI underlying core technology to provide software and hardware solutions for such fields as e-commerce, logistics port and pier, warehousing and transportation, garbage disposal and emergency rescue.

Deng Xiaobai, chief executive officer of Dorabot, said he has experienced great support from the Nansha Development District. And with further support from Nansha, the company expects to attract 600 international talents, foster 300 international high-tech talents, and set up a variety of industrial, academic and research institutions by 2020. It also expects its gross revenue to reach 10 billion yuan ($1.46 billion) within five years.
