GAC Motor, one of China's fastest-growing automakers, released its all-new minivan GM6 alongside its elite vehicle line at the 2018 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.

Also known as Auto China 2018, the event runs from April 25 to May 4.

The mid-to-high end GM6 minivan is designed with leading-edge concepts and automotive technologies.

It sports 1.5L and 1.3T engines, coupled with five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions. The slim central console has a much more modern and practical design compared with previous models.

Together with the previously released GM8, the lower-priced GM6 is targeted at family clients.

The two models will enhance the company's advantages in the global minivan market, according to GAC Motor.

"We are proud to unveil our latest model, the GM6 minivan, and to showcase our latest achievements at Auto China 2018," said Yu Jun, president of GAC Motor.

"GAC Motor is steadily becoming one of the most reputable Chinese auto brands, and quality is always our top priority.

"Our participation in the event is also another step to further expand into international markets."

In addition to the GM6, the automaker also exhibited its Enverge concept car for the first time in China at the Beijing auto show, as well as its top sedan, SUV and new energy models.

More than 30 international dealers have been attracted to its booth so far, speaking highly of the brand's quality and design.

GAC Motor attended the North American International Auto Show and the National Automobile Dealers Association's trade show earlier this year, which helped to implement the company's going global strategy, Yu said.

Rod Alberts, executive director of the North American International Auto Show, said that GAC Motor has demonstrated the rapid progress of the Chinese automotive industry, with its quality becoming more competitive among major international brands.

Alberts invited GAC Motor to join the organization's next show, set to open in Detroit in January 2019. The automaker has also been invited to attend the 2018 Paris Motor Show in October, said Jean-Claude Girot, the event's executive manager, to demonstrate GAC Motor's world-class products and capability as a leading Chinese automobile brand.

GAC Motor is scheduled to exhibit at the Los Angeles Auto Show and the Moscow International Motor Show later this year.

At Auto China 2018, GAC Motor announced it will establish an automatic transmission manufacturing joint venture with Aisin AW, a major auto parts producer in Japan.

It has also signed strategic cooperation agreements with seven new suppliers.

The company said the move aims to construct an alliance that can integrate global resources and create a more competitive supply chain, supporting its bid to go global.

This year marks GAC Motor's 10th anniversary, and globalization has always been an important strategy in its development plan.

After the establishment of its research and development center in Silicon Valley, the company's advanced design center in Los Angeles entered into operation this year.

GAC Motor North American Sales and GAC Motor International will also be established in the first half of 2018. Founded in 2008, GAC Motor is a subsidiary of GAC Group which ranks No 238 in the Fortune Global 500.

The company develops vehicles, engines, components and auto accessories.

The brand has ranked No 1 among all Chinese brands in the JD Power Asia Pacific's China Initial Quality Study for five years consecutively, demonstrating the company's quality-centered strategy ranging from innovative R&D and manufacturing to supply chain, sales and services.
