The 2018 Macao-Guangzhou Fine Products Fair, an exhibition of retail goods from Macao and Guangzhou, is scheduled to open on Jan 26 in Guangzhou, the capital city of Guangdong province.

The three-day event will display products from Macao and Guangzhou in food, daily necessaries, garments, and electronic devices. Two distinctive areas highlighting Guangzhou's famous enterprises and Macao's Portuguese products will be set off in the exhibition.

The exhibition has been free to the public since it was launched in 2012 and has attracted more than one million people over the last six years.

Irene V. K. Lau, executive director of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, said the event would enhance the economic and trade ties between Macao and Guangzhou and provide opportunities for Portuguese enterprises to access the mainland market.

Chen Yongfang, deputy director of Guangzhou Commission of Commerce, said that a forum for Macao and Guangzhou economic and trade exchange will also be held during the event to promote their industrial cooperation.
