The southern Chinese city of Guangzhou will host the first-ever Fortune Brainstorm TECH International from Dec 5 to 6, coinciding with the the Fortune Global Forum which will be held immediately afterwards.

Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings signed a cooperation agreement with the Time Inc. on Nov 16 to become a sponsor and partner of the upcoming global convention.

Held in Aspen, a ski resort town in Colorado, every year, the Fortune Brainstorm TECH is a an invitation-only summer gathering of business leaders from Fortune 500 companies, top high-tech entrepreneurs, and famous tech investors.

As one of the most important events held by the Fortune magazine, the conference provides valuable insights into the fast-breaking trend and the most promising start-ups of the tech world.

To coincide with the Fortune Global Forum to be held in Guangzhou from Dec 6 to 8 and explore the innovation revolution unfolding in China, the international version of the Fortune Brainstorm TECH will also take place in Guangzhou right before the Fortune Global Forum.

According to the Fortune magazine, the conference venue will be the city's Four Seasons Hotel and the attendees will include Nathan Blecharczyk of Airbnb, Davis Wang of Mobike, Tom Rosamilia of IBM, Jonathan Woetzel of McKinsey, Neil Shen of Sequoia Capital, Keith Krach of DocuSign, and David Hanson of Hanson Robotics along with "Sophia", the world's first humanoid robot with citizenship.

At the signing ceremony, Li Chuyuan, president of Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings, said, "Currently, Guangzhou spares no efforts to draw in technology, talents, and resources, in order to build strong IAB industries (next generation of information technology, artificial intelligence and biological medicine).

Guangzhou Pharmaceutical Holdings is also a sponsor of the 2017 Fortune Global Forum, during which it will host a sub-forum themed "How to make healthy and better life for mankind" and a special roundtable discussion entitled "The Future of Health Care".
