An exhibition featuring more than 30 paintings created by famed artist Chen Ming was held in Guangzhou Kui Yuan Gallery on Aug 12, running until Aug 21.
The works, integrating Chinese and western characteristics, were created in 2015 and 2017 while Chen was studying in France and include Boy in the Countryside, and Color of the Night which depicts a French bar scene.

Born in Dongshan district (now belonging to Yuexiu district) of Guangzhou, Chen said it was really meaningful to hold the exhibition at the Kui Yuan Galley as it is also located in Dongshan district and features both Chinese and western characteristics.
"The exhibition is a periodic summary for my artistic creation and it will point out the direction for my future creation," Chen said.
Chen graduated from the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2004. His works have won prizes and appeared in many art exhibitions including the Third Guangdong Oil painting Exhibition and China-France Young Artists Communication Exhibition.
