Hunan, known for its interconnectedness and rich agricultural heritage, and Gansu, a direct gateway to the western regions, both stand as significant cradles of agrarian civilization. These provinces, though geographically distant, have long been interconnected, fostering a rich history of trade and cultural exchange. Today, the collaboration between Hunan merchants entering Gansu and Gansu's unique agricultural products making their way into Hunan is creating even closer ties, generating abundant business opportunities and deepening the bonds of friendship.

Since the establishment of the "Ganwei" brand in 2018, it has consistently ranked at the top of the China Regional Agricultural Image Brand Influence Index for three consecutive years. Recognized as one of the 100 brands loved by consumers by China Brand Network, "Ganwei" has emerged as a model for national industrial revitalization and trademark development, particularly as a brand born from poverty alleviation efforts and thriving through rural revitalization.

Currently, Gansu has developed a three-tiered "Ganwei" brand system, led by the provincial "Ganwei" public brand, supported by 63 local regional public brands and 680 enterprise trademarks. Eight regional public brands, including "Dingxi Potatoes," "Jingning Apples," "Minxian Angelica," "Pingliang Red Cattle," "Lanzhou Lily," "Longxi Astragalus," "Weiyuan White Striped Codonopsis," and "Minqin Melon," have been selected for the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs' Boutique Brand Cultivation Plan, ranking among the top five in the country.

In November 2019, Gansu brought its sincerity and rich "Ganwei" products to Hunan. At the "2019 One Village One Product International Commodity Expo" held in Changsha, Gansu's seven categories of agricultural products, including apples, vegetables, lilies, red dates, and small grains, immediately attracted the attention of over 70 Hunan buyers, marking the beginning of extensive "Ganwei" agricultural product trade and cooperation between the two regions. Over the past five years, "Ganwei" products have achieved a cumulative trade volume of 500 million yuan ($70 million) in Hunan. The enthusiasm and preference of Hunan consumers have encouraged the hardworking and sincere people of Gansu to bring even more diverse "Ganwei" agricultural products back to Hunan.
