Professor Chen Hao's team from the department of oncological surgery at Lanzhou University Second Hospital successfully conducted an innovative surgical procedure on a 62- year-old man who has suffered from upper abdominal distension and pain for over a decade.

The groundbreaking procedure is said to have combined fully robotic minimally invasive techniques with dual-channel anastomosis and Tubeless methodology.

The patient sought medical attention at the hospital in Lanzhou, capital of Gansu province. When he was admitted, Chen's team thoroughly examined and he was with a malignant gastric tumor.

After careful deliberation, the patient underwent a surgery utilizing the Da Vinci robot. Following the procedure, the patient received standard post-operative care, including anti-infection measures, fluid rehydration and other necessary treatment, leading to a good recovery.
