Lanzhou Zhongchuan International Airport's Phase III expansion project achieved a significant milestone last month after its first commercial aircraft verification test flights. Two aircraft - a Hainan Airlines B787 and a Spring Airlines A320 - successfully landed on the test runway on Nov 28, marking the completion of the project's flight verification phase.

A standout feature of the expansion project is the T3 terminal, which showcases innovative architectural design. The terminal's streamlined skylights echo the flowing rhythms of the Yellow River, with their unique design ensuring abundant natural light while creating a spacious and bright atmosphere throughout the facility.

T3 is directly connected to a 270,000-square-meter integrated transportation center, establishing China's first optimized air-rail transfer hub. This comprehensive facility integrates multiple transportation modes, including highway, railway, and air travel services under one roof.
